The eagle has landed...

We’ve done it. Issue 1 is finished and ready for your delectation.

We’d like to thank everyone that has been involved in helping us get to this point. We couldn’t have done it without you. I mean, seriously, we wouldn’t have had any content – it would have been rubbish.

Anyway, we do have content and it turns out it’s amazing so stop reading this and start reading the magazine. If your computer or device doesn’t support reading magazines (powered by Issuu) you can download the PDF on our download page.

Please send us your comments about issue one and if you want to get involved with issue 2 click here.

Blue Monday

If you ever needed proof that PoV was good for you this is it.

BlueMonday.org are an amazing bunch of people who go out of their way to make others happy. Particularly on Mondays. January 16 is apparently the bleakest day of the year so they are coming up with ways to cheer their fellow man. One of which is to read PoV Magazine - take a look at their 2012 tab and find the “New year, new start” story.

Issue one is available for free from Monday so make sure you come back here to have a read.

Tom Morgan's Storied Streets get involved

There is a lot of excitement at PoV Towers in the lead up to Issue 1, especially after getting in touch with producer Tom Morgan about his new documentary These Storied Streets.

On the films website Tom describes the documentary:
These Storied Streets explores homelessness across America by telling the stories of those who live it every day. The full-length documentary film profiles the homeless and the formerly homeless as well as the volunteers and organisations working to get people off the streets. Their stories are real, raw and compelling.

Tom is writing a book about his journey and the people he met along the way and has very generously donated an extract for the magazine. It’s going to be brilliant, we can’t wait for you to read it.

Head over to the Storied Streets website to find out more and to watch an exclusive sneak preview of the film.

Download Issue 1 – STREETS – for free when it arrives on the site in January.

Max Zorn. Street Artist. Issue 1. Awesome.

We have some very good news for you today - meet one of our latest contributors for Issue 1.

Max Zorn is a street artist with an incredible name and an even more incredible talent. Tape Art. Before you ask what that is, take a look at this...

Yes, I know, it’s brilliant. Once Max has finished one of his pieces he goes running around Europe hooking them over street lamps for all to see. We’re so pleased to have him involved in our first issue. He needs the streets and they need his work.

Don’t forget to keep checking back here for all the latest PoV news.
Issue 1 –
STREETS – is let loose in January.

Jürgen Bürgin says yes to PoV

Hello there PoV-ers (I’m trying that out, not sure if it works yet!)

We’re very proud to announce that Jürgen Bürgin will be one of the contributors in our first magazine, out mid January.

In 2011 Jürgen was nominated for a Sony World Photography Award for some of his stunning street photography and he’s decided to lend us his lens for issue 1. Take a quick look in the gallery to see just 2 of the photos from the set we’ll be including. Believe us, you’re in for a treat.

If you can’t wait for the magazine then you can see some more of his work in the ‘Life out of balance’ show at the Urban Picnic Gallery until December 8th. Check it out.

This PoV ride is well and truly underway.
